CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — East Tennessee State dominated from the start, cruising to a 74-49 victory over The Citadel in a Southern Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at McAlister Field House.

The Buccaneers led 40-23 at halftime and never relented, holding the Bulldogs to 32.7% shooting from the field, including 7 of 32 from 3-point range. Blake Barkley scored 17 points to lead East Tennessee State, which improved to 9-5 overall. Brian Taylor and Jordan McCullum each added 13 points.

Christian Moore scored 10 points for The Citadel, which fell to 3-11. The Buccaneers’ defense forced 15 turnovers and recorded 12 steals. East Tennessee State shot 51% from the field and made 16 of 19 free throws in a balanced offensive performance before a crowd of 1,109.
