Maryland vs. Alabama

LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — Two teams coming off drastically different performances will meet Wednesday when Alabama faces Maryland in a non-conference men’s basketball game at T-Mobile Arena.

The Crimson Tide (4-2) enter on a high note after a dominant 115-76 victory over UNLV on Tuesday. Guard Aden Holloway led the charge with 26 points, while London Jemison added 18 and Houston Mallette scored 19. Alabama’s offense has been potent, averaging over 94 points per game.

Conversely, the Terrapins (4-2) are looking to rebound from a lopsided 100-61 loss at Gonzaga, also on Tuesday. Darius Adams scored 13 points and Pharrel Payne added 14 in the defeat. Maryland’s season has been a mix of resilience, including an overtime win over Mount Saint Mary’s, and inconsistency.

Both teams hold identical records, but statistical models heavily favor the Crimson Tide. Interstat’s ELO system gives Alabama a 68.4% probability to win. Oddsmakers have installed Alabama as a 13.5-point favorite, with an over/under set at 181.5 points.

The game is part of a multi-team event in Las Vegas. Alabama will host Clemson on Dec. 3 in its next contest, while Maryland returns home to face Wagner on Dec. 2.
