Notre Dame vs. Houston
LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — A pair of teams coming off hard-fought results will meet in a non-conference showdown Wednesday when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish face the Houston Cougars at T-Mobile Arena.
The Fighting Irish (5-2) arrive in Las Vegas after a 68-63 road victory over Rutgers on Tuesday. Guard Markus Burton led the way with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists. Notre Dame has shown resilience early, with its only losses coming by a combined 11 points against Kansas and Ohio State.
Houston (6-1), ranked eighth, looks to rebound from its first loss of the season, a narrow 76-73 defeat to Tennessee on its home court Tuesday. Despite the loss, guard Kingston Flemings poured in 25 points in the effort. The Cougars’ resume includes an overtime win against Syracuse and a road victory at Auburn.
The neutral-site contest pits Notre Dame’s offense, led by Burton and freshman Jalen Haralson, against Houston’s typically stout defense, which held its first four opponents under 50 points before the recent three-game stretch.
According to Interstat’s ELO system, Houston is projected as a heavy favorite with a 97.80 percent probability to win.
Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025.
