Colorado State Holds Off New Mexico Rally for Road Win
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Interstat) — Colorado State built a large early lead and withstood a furious second-half rally to defeat New Mexico 82-74 in a Mountain West men’s basketball game Wednesday night at The Pit.
The Rams led 40-25 at halftime, but the Lobos surged after the break, outscoring Colorado State 49-42 behind Deyton Albury’s game-high 22 points. The Rams’ balanced attack proved decisive, with Kyle Jorgensen scoring 19 points and four teammates also reaching double figures. The win avenged a home loss to New Mexico in January.
Attendance was 14,051. Colorado State improved to 20-10. New Mexico fell to 22-8.
