Gonzaga at Oregon State

Preview: Gonzaga Looks to Rebound at Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — The second-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs aim to bounce back from a rare loss when they visit the Oregon State Beavers in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday at Gill Coliseum.

Gonzaga (22-2) saw its winning streak snapped in an 87-80 road loss at Portland on Wednesday. The Bulldogs had won eight straight prior to the defeat, their first since a November neutral-site game against then-Purdue.

Oregon State (13-12) enters with momentum, having won three of its last four, including a 74-64 home victory over Washington State on Wednesday.

The matchup features a compelling duel between standout guards. Gonzaga’s Graham Ike has been dominant, averaging 25.7 points over his last three games. He scored 24 in the loss to Portland. Oregon State will counter with Josiah Lake, who is averaging 18.3 points over his last six contests. He led the Beavers with 22 points in the win over Washington State.

The Bulldogs have been among the nation’s elite all season, with their only stumbles coming against top competition and the recent upset at Portland. Their offense, which averages over 86 points per game in conference play, will test an Oregon State defense that has held three of its last four opponents under 70 points.

Oregon State has shown a pattern of playing well at home, with notable wins over Washington State and Loyola Marymount in Corvallis this season, but has struggled against the West Coast Conference’s top tier. The Beavers lost by 30 at Saint Mary’s on Jan. 21.

Gonzaga holds a significant historical edge in the series, having won 16 of the last 17 meetings. The Bulldogs won both matchups last season by an average of 19 points.

For Gonzaga, the game is a critical opportunity to regain form before a key stretch that includes a rematch with Saint Mary’s later this month. For Oregon State, it represents a prime chance to secure a program-defining victory and bolster its postseason resume in front of a home crowd.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. PST on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.
