Penn State vs. La Salle

PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The unbeaten Penn State Nittany Lions will put their perfect early-season record on the line against the La Salle Explorers in a non-conference matchup Saturday as part of the 2025-26 MBB Autumn Invitational.

Penn State (3-0) is coming off an 80-71 home victory over Navy on Tuesday. The Nittany Lions’ offense has been powered by a trio of consistent scorers. Kayden Mingo scored 16 points with seven rebounds against Navy, while Freddie Dilione V led the team with 19 points. Josh Reed added 11 points and six rebounds.

La Salle (2-1) looks to rebound from a lopsided 90-63 road loss to Temple, also on Tuesday. In that game, Rob Dockery scored 11 points and Jerome Brewer added 10 for the Explorers. Prior to the Temple game, La Salle’s defense was strong in wins over Monmouth and Coppin State.

The game presents a contrast in momentum, with Penn State seeking its fourth straight win while La Salle aims to recover from its first loss of the season. The contest will be a homecoming of sorts for Penn State, facing a Philadelphia opponent early in its schedule.

Following this game, Penn State will host Harvard on Nov. 19. La Salle’s next contest is a home game against Villanova, also on Nov. 19.
