HONOLULU (Interstat) — Ethan Potter scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Utah Tech to an 81-75 double-overtime victory over Mississippi Valley State in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Trailblazers, who led 36-32 at halftime, were forced into two extra periods after the Delta Devils tied the game late in regulation. Utah Tech held Mississippi Valley State to just two points in the second overtime to secure the win. Daniel Mayfield led the Delta Devils with 19 points and nine rebounds. With the win, Utah Tech improves to 3-3 on the season, while Mississippi Valley State falls to 1-4.
