Pacific Dominates Portland in West Coast Conference Matchup
STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Pacific Tigers used a dominant first half to cruise past the Portland Pilots 74-51 in a West Coast Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night at A.C. Spanos Center.
Pacific built a 40-21 halftime lead and never looked back, led by Justin Rochelin’s 17 points and 15 from TJ Wainwright. The Tigers’ defense stifled Portland, holding the Pilots to 31% shooting from the floor. Pacific also controlled the paint, outscoring Portland 38-12 inside.
Joel Foxwell scored 13 points for Portland, which fell to 10-13. Pacific improved to 15-8. The Tigers avenged an overtime loss to the Pilots earlier this month.
