CHENEY, Wash. (Interstat) — The Idaho Vandals held off a second-half surge to defeat the Eastern Washington Eagles 85-81 in a Big Sky Conference men’s basketball game Monday night at Reese Court.

Idaho led 34-30 at halftime and maintained its advantage despite both teams scoring 51 points after the break. The victory improved Idaho to 17-14 overall, while Eastern Washington fell to 13-18.

Eastern Washington’s Isaiah Moses led all scorers with 28 points. Teammates Jojo Anderson added 15 points and Alton Hamilton scored 20. Idaho used a balanced attack, with six players scoring in double figures, led by Jackson Rasmussen’s 14 points and Jack Payne’s 12. Attendance was 1,729.
