SAN ANTONIO (Interstat) — Lateef Patrick scored 28 points to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 76-68 men’s basketball victory over Incarnate Word on Monday night at McDermott Convocation Center.

The Lumberjacks, who improved to 27-4, led 28-26 at halftime before pulling away in the second half. The Cardinals fell to 12-19.

Patrick, a guard from Milton, Massachusetts, keyed the win. Davion Bailey led Incarnate Word with 21 points. Lewis Rowe added 14 points for the Cardinals. Keon Thompson contributed 12 points and five assists for Stephen F. Austin.

An announced crowd of 244 attended the NCAA Division I game. Stephen F. Austin swept the season series, having also won on Jan. 12.
