PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — La Salle defeated Rhode Island 59-46 in an Atlantic 10 men’s basketball game Saturday at Tom Gola Arena. The Explorers swept the regular-season series.

Both teams struggled offensively, combining to shoot just 29% from the floor. La Salle secured the win at the free-throw line, making 21 attempts to Rhode Island’s 12. Rob Dockery led all scorers with 19 points and added 15 rebounds for La Salle. Ashton Walker contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Myles Corey scored 14 points for the Rams. Rhode Island’s offense was hampered by 2-for-18 shooting from 3-point range. La Salle improved to 8-19, while Rhode Island fell to 15-12.
