DES MOINES, Iowa (Interstat) — Jalen Quinn scored 26 points as Drake erased a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Evansville 82-78 in a Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night at Knapp Center.

The Bulldogs, who trailed 42-30 at halftime, outscored the Purple Aces 52-42 in the second half. Quinn’s performance, including key late free throws, sealed the comeback before an attendance of 3,441.

Leif Moeller led Evansville with 20 points and seven assists. The Purple Aces shot 54.5% from 3-point range but were hampered by 10 turnovers and a disparity in free throws, with Drake attempting 38 to their 12.

Drake improved to 12-10 overall, while Evansville fell to 5-16.
