ROSEMONT, Ill. (Interstat) — DePaul used a strong second half to defeat Xavier 86-77 in a Big East men’s basketball game Saturday at Allstate Arena.

The Blue Demons, who led 40-37 at halftime, pulled away after the break by outscoring the Musketeers 46-40. The victory moved both teams to 9-6 overall this season.

Tre Carroll led Xavier with 17 points and seven rebounds. Roddie Anderson added 15 points for the Musketeers. Filip Borovicanin recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Kaleb Banks scored 11 points and NJ Benson added 10 points and seven rebounds for DePaul. Attendance was 5,266.
