Utah State vs. VCU
FRISCO, Texas (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories will meet Friday when the Utah State Aggies face the VCU Rams at Dr Pepper Arena.
Both teams enter the neutral-site contest with 1-0 records after posting lopsided wins on Monday. Utah State dismantled Westminster 110-54, while VCU cruised past Wagner 103-74.
The Aggies’ offense was firing on all cylinders, led by MJ Collins’ 23 points in just 21 minutes. Elijah Perryman added 10 points and eight assists, and Kolby King scored 16 points.
VCU showcased a balanced attack in its opener. Brandon Jennings nearly recorded a triple-double with 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Lazar Djokovic provided a major spark off the bench with a game-high 21 points and five rebounds.
The matchup pits Utah State’s high-scoring attack against a VCU team that demonstrated strong defensive pressure, blocking three shots against Wagner.
This game is the first of a challenging non-conference slate for both programs. Utah State will host Weber State on Nov. 12, while VCU returns home to face Saint Peter’s on the same date.
Tip-off is set for Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
