SAN ANTONIO (Interstat) — Derrian Ford scored 21 points to lead Temple to a 70-64 victory over Texas-San Antonio in an American Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Convocation Center.

The Owls (13-7, 4-3 AAC) swept the season series despite a dominant performance from UTSA’s Baboucarr Njie, who recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. The Roadrunners (4-16, 0-7) have lost seven straight.

Temple led by 10 at halftime and maintained control, aided by 15 points from Aiden Tobiason and 18 from Jordan Mason. Austin Nunez scored 13 for UTSA, which kept pace but could not overtake the Owls in the final minutes. Temple returns home to face Charlotte on Wednesday.
