Duke Dominates Stanford in Cross-Country Matchup

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Interstat) — Duke delivered a commanding performance Saturday, routing Stanford 80-50 in a nonconference men’s basketball game at Maples Pavilion.

The Blue Devils seized control early, building a 35-19 halftime lead behind a stifling defense. They extended their advantage after halftime, outscoring the Cardinal 45-31. The victory improved Duke’s record to 17-1, while Stanford fell to 14-5.

A crowd of 7,880 watched the Atlantic Coast Conference-affiliated game. Duke’s efficient offense consistently broke down Stanford’s defense, leading to the lopsided result that was widely expected by national metrics. The Blue Devils have now won four consecutive games.
