CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Interstat) — Utah State cruised to a 79-53 men’s basketball victory over Charlotte on Sunday at Halton Arena, bouncing back from its first loss of the season. The Aggies led 44-30 at halftime and never relented, holding the 49ers to 23 second-half points before an announced crowd of 2,530.

Mason Falslev led all scorers with 22 points and added six assists for Utah State, which improved to 8-1. MJ Collins contributed 18 points. Charlotte, which fell to 4-6, was paced by Ben Bradford’s 13 points. Anton Bonke grabbed 13 rebounds for the 49ers. Utah State covered the spread as a 10.5-point favorite.
