Dartmouth at Saint Peter`s
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Interstat) — The Saint Peter’s Peacocks will look to build on a narrow home victory when they host the Dartmouth Big Green in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Saturday at Yanitelli Center.
Both teams enter the contest seeking consistency in the early season. Saint Peter’s (2-3) is coming off a 68-66 win over UMass Lowell last Saturday. Brent Bland led the way with 13 points and five rebounds, while TJ Robinson added a team-high 15 points.
The Peacocks’ other victory this season was a 93-83 home win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 8.
Dartmouth (1-3) is searching for its first win against a Division I opponent after picking up its lone victory in a 113-68 rout of NAIA opponent Me.-Augusta on Nov. 18. Kareem Thomas exploded for 24 points in that win. The Big Green’s three losses have come against Marist, Bryant and Appalachian State.
The game will be a final tune-up for both teams before they each embark on a series of challenging road trips in December. Saint Peter’s will host two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foes next week, while Dartmouth is set to visit Wyoming and Colorado State.
