LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Interstat) — Julius Mims scored 17 points to lead New Mexico State to an 81-72 victory over Samford in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday night at the Pan American Center.

The Aggies (4-0) shot 54.4% from the floor and used a 9-2 run late in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs (3-4). Samford was led by Kam Martin’s 17 points and Zion Wilburn’s 15 points. New Mexico State never trailed after halftime in front of a crowd of 4,484.
