Southeast Missouri State at Missouri
COLUMBIA, Mo. (Interstat) — The Missouri Tigers will look to build on a season-opening win when they host in-state foe Southeast Missouri State on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Mizzou Arena.
Missouri (1-0) opened its season with an 88-67 road victory over Howard on Monday. Newcomer Shawn Phillips, a transfer, made an immediate impact with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in just 19 minutes. Jayden Stone added 13 points and five rebounds.
The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks (0-1) are seeking their first win after falling 92-67 at Saint Louis in their opener. BJ Ward led the Redhawks with 16 points in that contest, while Brendan Terry added 14.
The game represents a significant challenge for the Redhawks, who face a Missouri team with considerable size and athleticism advantages. The Tigers dominated the glass in their opener, a trend SEMO will need to counter.
This is the first game of a two-game homestand for Missouri, which hosts Virginia Military Institute on Sunday. For SEMO, the matchup is the second in a tough opening stretch before returning home to face Webster on Nov. 12.
