TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Arizona State Sun Devils will open their 2025-26 men’s basketball season at home against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Both teams enter the contest at Wells Fargo Arena with 0-0 records, looking for a fresh start after concluding the previous season with losses in March.

The Sun Devils last played on March 31, 2025, falling 86-78 to Nebraska. Southern Utah’s most recent outing was a 72-65 home loss to Utah Tech on March 11.

The game marks the beginning of a challenging non-conference slate for Arizona State. Following the opener, the Sun Devils will host Utah Tech on Nov. 9 before a marquee home matchup against Gonzaga on Nov. 14. A trip to the Maui Invitational, where they will face Texas, also looms later in November.

For the Thunderbirds, the game against Arizona State kicks off a difficult five-game road trip. After facing the Sun Devils, Southern Utah will travel to face Omaha, Gonzaga and Washington State in quick succession before returning home on Nov. 22.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST at Wells Fargo Arena.
