BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Interstat) — Fairfield used a dominant second half to overtake Sacred Heart 78-68 in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Friday night at Webster Bank Arena.

The Stags, who trailed 37-32 at halftime, outscored the Pioneers 46-31 after intermission to secure the victory before a crowd of 3,565. The win improved Fairfield’s record to 17-11, while Sacred Heart fell to 12-17. Fairfield swept the regular-season series, having also won on Feb. 5.
