RALEIGH, N.C. (Interstat) — Quadir Copeland had 21 points and 10 assists to lead North Carolina State to an 82-73 victory over Virginia Tech in Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball Saturday at Lenovo Center.

The Wolfpack led 36-24 at halftime and withstood a second-half push from the Hokies, who scored 49 points after the break. Copeland’s double-double paced four North Carolina State players in double figures, including Paul McNeil with 21 points.

Tobi Lawal led Virginia Tech with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Amani Hansberry added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Hokies.

No. 19,119 attended. North Carolina State improved to 18-6. Virginia Tech fell to 16-8.
