NEW YORK (Interstat) — Darryl Simmons scored 23 points, including a crucial late jumper, to lift Saint Bonaventure to a 70-67 victory over Fordham in Atlantic 10 men’s basketball Saturday at Rose Hill Gym. The Bonnies avenged a loss to the Rams from earlier this season.

Saint Bonaventure led 33-34 at halftime and maintained a narrow advantage throughout a back-and-forth second half. Cayden Charles added 21 points for the Bonnies, who shot 58% from the field. Fordham’s Roor Akhuar led all scorers with 16 points off the bench.

The Bonnies improved to 14-10 overall, while Fordham moved to 12-12. A crowd of 2,175 attended.
