SPOKANE, Wash. (Interstat) — Graham Ike scored 30 points to lead Gonzaga to a 73-65 victory over Saint Mary’s in a West Coast Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at a sold-out McCarthey Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs (22-1, 8-0) used a strong second half to pull away from the Gaels (19-4, 6-2), who led 38-34 at halftime. Ike’s efficient performance, coupled with Gonzaga’s 36-20 advantage in points in the paint, proved decisive. Saint Mary’s was led by Joshua Dent’s 16 points.

Gonzaga shot 46.6% from the field and held Saint Mary’s to 34%. The Bulldogs also outrebounded the Gaels 38-30. The teams will meet again in Moraga, California, on Feb. 28.
