Radford Outlasts Presbyterian in Double-Overtime Big South Thriller
CLINTON, S.C. (Interstat) — Jaylon Johnson scored 23 points as Radford outlasted Presbyterian 93-84 in a double-overtime men’s basketball game Saturday at Templeton Center.
The Highlanders, who led 33-36 at halftime, forced the extra periods after a 75-75 tie in regulation. Radford dominated the second overtime 10-1. Johnson’s performance led five Radford scorers in double figures.
Presbyterian’s Jonah Pierce recorded a double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds. The Blue Hose committed 21 turnovers, leading to 15 Radford points. Despite shooting 50.8% from the floor and holding a 56-30 advantage in paint points, Presbyterian could not overcome its ball-handling struggles.
Radford improved to 13-11. Presbyterian fell to 11-13.
