Sun Devils Outpace Bearcats Behind Odum’s 33 Points
TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — Maurice Odum scored 33 points and dished eight assists to lead Arizona State to an 82-68 victory over Cincinnati in a Big 12 men’s basketball game Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Sun Devils improved to 11-9 overall, pulling away in the second half after leading 37-33 at halftime. The Bearcats fell to 10-10.
Arizona State’s decisive edge came from beyond the arc, making 13 three-pointers to Cincinnati’s four. Both teams shot 27 field goals, but the Sun Devils’ superior efficiency from deep and a 113.9 offensive rating proved too much. Cincinnati was led by Halvine Dzellat’s brief contribution of two points. Attendance was 6,950.
