Omaha at Oral Roberts

OMAHA, Neb. (Interstat) — Two Summit League men’s basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when the Omaha Mavericks visit the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at Mabee Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The conference matchup features Omaha (8-11, 1-3 Summit) against Oral Roberts (5-14, 0-4), with both sides looking to halt recent slides. The Mavericks have dropped three of their last four, including a narrow 78-76 home loss to North Dakota State on Jan. 10. The Golden Eagles are mired in a six-game losing streak, most recently falling 98-87 at Denver on Wednesday.

Omaha will lean on the hot hand of guard Paul Djobet, who has averaged 20.2 points over his last five games. He was prolific in the loss to NDSU, scoring 22 points with six rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes. Supporting efforts have come from Christian Richardson (21 points vs. NDSU) and Tony Osburn (16 points).

Oral Roberts counters with guard Connor Dow, who has provided consistent scoring during the skid. Dow is averaging 19.5 points over his last four contests, including a 23-point performance in the loss at Denver. His backcourt production is critical for a Golden Eagles offense that has struggled for consistency.

While both teams have faced challenges this season, the game represents a key opportunity to gain ground in the league standings. Omaha’s offense, averaging 75.2 points per game, will test an Oral Roberts defense allowing 77.6 points per contest. The Golden Eagles will aim to leverage their home court, where they are 4-4 this season, to secure their first Summit League victory.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CST tipoff on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026. It is the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams, with the rematch set for Feb. 18 in Omaha.
