Duquesne at Fordham
Preview of Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball: Duquesne at Fordham
NEW YORK (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt losing streaks will meet Saturday when the Duquesne Dukes visit the Fordham Rams in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup at Rose Hill Gym.
Duquesne (9-8, 0-3 A-10) enters on a three-game skid, all in conference play, following a 71-65 home loss to Dayton on Tuesday. The Dukes’ conference struggles contrast with a potent non-conference offense that saw them score 103, 99, and 101 points in three December wins.
The Dukes will lean on guard Jimmie Williams, who has averaged 17.7 points over his last three games, including a 20-point effort against VCU on Jan. 3. He is a consistent scoring threat, having reached double figures in six straight contests.
Fordham (10-8, 1-4 A-10) aims to rebound from a 78-56 road loss at Saint Louis on Wednesday. The Rams’ conference record is marred by narrow defeats, including a 63-56 loss at Dayton and a 75-69 home loss to Holy Cross in early December.
The Rams counter with dynamic guard DeJour Reaves, who is coming off an 18-point performance at Saint Louis. Reaves has been a standout, erupting for 31 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in a road win at Saint Bonaventure on Jan. 10. His playmaking will be central to Fordham’s hopes.
Historically, the home court has been significant in this series. Both teams will view this game as a critical opportunity to stabilize their conference trajectories before the schedule intensifies. For Duquesne, it is a chance to secure its first A-10 victory. For Fordham, protecting home court is essential to climb back toward .500 in league play.
Tip-off is set for Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Rose Hill Gym in the Bronx.
