Delaware at Louisiana Tech
RUSTON, La. (Interstat) — Two Conference USA men’s basketball teams looking to halt slides will meet Saturday when the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs host the Delaware Blue Hens at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Delaware (5-10, 1-1 CUSA) arrives after a 60-72 road loss at Sam Houston on Thursday. The Blue Hens have dropped three of their last four games. Louisiana Tech (8-7, 0-2 CUSA) seeks its first conference win following a 56-72 home defeat to Liberty, also on Thursday. The Bulldogs have lost three straight.
The matchup will feature two of the league’s top guards. Delaware is led by Christian Bliss, who is coming off a stretch of heavy minutes and production. Over his last six games, Bliss is averaging 17.0 points and 6.2 assists, including a 27-point effort in a narrow loss to Jacksonville State on Jan. 2. He played all 40 minutes and had 18 points and seven assists in the loss to Sam Houston.
For Louisiana Tech, DJ Dudley has been a consistent scorer. He averages 14.2 points per game and has scored in double figures in nine of his last ten contests, including a 17-point performance against Liberty. Dudley logged 40 minutes in key non-conference wins over UTEP and Louisiana-Lafayette last month.
Delaware’s season has been marked by offensive struggles, failing to reach 70 points in eight of their ten losses. Louisiana Tech has shown defensive vulnerability during its losing streak, allowing an average of 75.3 points per game.
This is the first meeting between the programs as Conference USA foes. Following this game, Delaware returns home to face UTEP on Jan. 15. Louisiana Tech continues its homestand against Middle Tennessee on Jan. 14.
Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, in Ruston.
