BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Interstat) — Saint Peter’s held off a late Fairfield rally for a 70-66 victory in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Monday night at Webster Bank Arena. The Peacocks, who led 31-35 at halftime, extended their advantage in the second half before the Stags’ final push fell short. The win improved Saint Peter’s to 6-5 overall, while Fairfield dropped to 8-6. An announced crowd of 1,772 watched as the Peacocks secured the road win despite being a pregame underdog. The combined score of 136 points narrowly exceeded the over/under line of 137.5.
