Queens (N.C.) at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Interstat) — The Arkansas Razorbacks, riding high after a ranked win, will look to avoid a letdown when they host the Queens (N.C.) Royals in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas (8-2) is coming off a significant 93-86 victory over then-Texas Tech last Saturday. Forward Trevon Brazile led the way with a dominant 24-point, 10-rebound double-double, showcasing the form that makes him a focal point for the Razorbacks. Over his last five games, Brazile is averaging 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds.

The Royals (5-6), transitioning to Division I, face a daunting task following a 111-73 loss at Wake Forest on Sunday. Queens has struggled on the road this season, with all six of its losses coming away from home, including defeats to Power Five opponents Virginia and Villanova.

A key matchup will feature Queens’ leading scorer Avantae Parker against Arkansas’s interior defense. Parker is averaging 12.7 points per game and is coming off a 14-point performance at Wake Forest. He scored 18 points in a win over Gardner-Webb earlier this month.

Arkansas’s offense, which averages 84.2 points per game, will test a Queens defense that has allowed an average of 92.3 points in its six losses. The Razorbacks boast additional firepower from guards Karter Knox (20 points vs. Texas Tech) and Darius Acuff Jr. (20 points, 8 assists).

This marks the first-ever meeting between the programs. For Queens, it is the final tune-up before Atlantic Sun Conference play begins next month. For Arkansas, it is the last home game before a neutral-site clash with Houston and the start of a rigorous Southeastern Conference schedule in January.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST at Bud Walton Arena.
