WILMINGTON, N.C. (Interstat) — Southeastern Louisiana built a large first-half lead and withstood a furious Navy comeback to secure a 69-65 victory in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday at Brooks Field. The Lions led by 15 points at halftime after scoring 42 points in the opening period. The Midshipmen rallied in the second half, outscoring Southeastern Louisiana 38-27, but fell just short. Austin Benigni led all scorers with 24 points for Navy. Peter Hemschemeier scored 19 points to pace Southeastern Louisiana. The Lions improved to 3-5 overall, while the Midshipmen fell to 4-5.
