Bowling Green vs. Virginia Military Institute

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Interstat) — The Bowling Green Falcons look to continue their winning momentum when they face the Virginia Military Institute Keydets in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida.

Bowling Green (4-2) enters the contest after a 71-66 home victory over Bucknell on Monday. Sam Towns led the Falcons with 15 points, while Justin Thomas added nine points, seven rebounds and four assists. The Falcons have won three of their last four games.

VMI (3-5) seeks to halt a three-game losing streak following a 78-70 home loss to Buffalo on Monday. TJ Johnson scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the defeat. The Keydets’ three wins this season have come against non-Division I opponent Virginia-Lynchburg and lower-tier Division I programs JWU Charlotte and Southern Indiana.

The neutral-site game at Florida Gulf Coast University’s arena presents a challenge for both teams. Bowling Green will rely on its balanced scoring attack, while VMI will look for another high-output performance from Johnson. The Falcons have shown a potent offense, scoring 87 points in a narrow loss to Davidson and 120 in a season-opening rout of Bethany.

The Keydets’ defense has struggled, allowing an average of 87.5 points during their current three-game skid.

After this game, Bowling Green travels to face Kansas State on Dec. 1. VMI’s next contest is at UCF on Nov. 29.
