The Boilermakers improved to 4-0 behind a dominant first half where they built a 52-39 lead. Braden Smith added 16 points and 10 assists for Purdue, while Oscar Cluff contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds. The Zips, who fell to 3-1, were led by 40 second-half points but could not overcome the early deficit in front of a crowd of 14,876.
