Central Arkansas at Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Interstat) — In-state foes Central Arkansas and Arkansas will meet Tuesday at Bud Walton Arena, with both teams looking to build momentum after splitting their first two games of the season.
The Bears (1-1) are coming off a dominant 110-63 victory over Champion Christian on Saturday. Ty Robinson led the way with 17 points in just 16 minutes, while Camren Hunter added 13 points and Truman Byrne scored 10. The performance was a stark contrast to their season-opening 94-54 loss at North Carolina.
The Razorbacks (1-1) are also looking to rebound after a narrow 69-66 road loss to Michigan State on Saturday. Darius Acuff Jr. scored 16 points and dished out six assists in the defeat, while Meleek Thomas also added 16 points. Arkansas opened its season with a 109-77 home win over Southern.
Tuesday’s contest will be the first of a two-game homestand for Arkansas, which hosts Samford on Friday. Central Arkansas continues a challenging early schedule before its next game at North Texas on Nov. 20.
