Texas A&M at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. (Interstat) — In a commanding performance at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Sunday, the Oklahoma State Cowboys dominated the Texas A&M Aggies, securing an 87-63 victory in a non-conference men’s NCAA Division I basketball game.

The Cowboys improved to 2-0 on the young season, while the Aggies fell to 2-1.

Oklahoma State seized control early, building a 43-29 lead by halftime and never relenting, outscoring Texas A&M by 10 points in the second half. The game was characterized by a stark contrast in offensive efficiency and ball security. Despite an identical number of possessions, 76 for each team, the Cowboys’ offense operated with precision, while the Aggies’ attack sputtered.

Oklahoma State shot 48.5 percent from the field, connecting on 32 of 66 attempts. The Aggies, by contrast, struggled immensely with their shooting, making only 20 of 62 field goal attempts for a 32.3 percent rate. The disparity was also evident from beyond the arc, where Texas A&M hit just 9 of 35 three-pointers.

Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, forcing 16 Texas A&M turnovers while committing only nine themselves. Oklahoma State also tallied 10 steals and 10 assists, showcasing a balanced and disruptive effort. The Aggies managed just two assists and two steals as a team.

The Cowboys’ victory was a collective effort, with five players scoring in double figures. Christian Coleman led the way with 16 points, while Vyctorius Miller added 15 points and a team-high five assists. Parsa Fallah contributed 12 points and seven rebounds, and Jaylen Curry and Isaiah Coleman each chipped in 12 points. Isaiah Coleman also neared a double-double, pulling down nine rebounds.

For Texas A&M, Marcus Hill was the leading scorer with 14 points. Zach Clemence provided a spark off the bench with nine points and six rebounds, while Rashaun Agee added seven points and seven rebounds. The Aggies’ offensive struggles were encapsulated by an offensive rating of 82.8, a figure dwarfed by Oklahoma State’s mark of 113.8.

A crowd of 7,501 watched as the Cowboys consistently built their lead, answering any brief Aggie momentum with decisive scoring runs. The result was an upset according to pregame metrics, as Texas A&M had been installed as a slight 1.5-point favorite. The total score of 150 points fell well under the pregame over/under line of 169.5.

Texas A&M will look to rebound when it hosts UCF on Friday. Oklahoma State’s next contest is at home against Prairie View on Wednesday.
