CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — Josiah Lake scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Oregon State to a 76-73 win over Illinois-Chicago in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday night at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers improved to 2-0, while the Flames moved to 1-1.

Oregon State led 42-37 at halftime and held off a second-half push from the Flames. Ahmad Henderson led Illinois-Chicago with 18 points, and Jayce Nathaniel added 16 points and seven rebounds. Msatija Samar contributed 11 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Beavers in front of a crowd of 3,476.
