Illinois-Chicago at Oregon State
CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off high-scoring, season-opening victories will meet Friday night when the Illinois-Chicago Flames visit the Oregon State Beavers at Gill Coliseum.
Both teams enter the nonconference matchup with 1-0 records. Illinois-Chicago dominated its opener, cruising to a 91-71 win over Detroit on Monday. The Flames’ offense was powered by Ahmad Henderson II, who poured in 23 points in just 24 minutes of play. Rashund Washington Jr. and Elijah Crawford added 13 points apiece, with Washington dishing out five assists.
Oregon State also opened its season Monday, but had a much tighter contest, edging North Dakota State 67-65. The Beavers showcased a more balanced attack, with Isaiah Sy leading the way with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. Josiah Lake II and Dez White each added 10 points, with Lake pulling down eight rebounds and White contributing five assists.
The game will be a test for both squads as they look to build early momentum. For Illinois-Chicago, it is the start of a challenging stretch with seven of their next eight games on the road. Oregon State, meanwhile, will look to defend its home court before a tough road test at in-state rival Oregon on Nov. 17.
Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
