NORFOLK, Va. (Interstat) — Cam Gillus scored 22 points to lead Howard to an 84-76 victory over Norfolk State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Thursday night at Echols Hall.

The Bison and Spartans were tied 39-39 at halftime before Howard pulled away in the second half before a crowd of 4,165. Gillus added four assists for Howard, which improved to 21-10. Bryce Harris added 18 points for the Bison.

Devon Ellis led Norfolk State with 22 points. Elijah Jamison scored 15 and Anthony McComb added 14 for the Spartans, who fell to 15-16.
