SAN MARCOS, Texas (Interstat) — Texas State defeated Old Dominion 81-64 in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday at Strahan Coliseum.

The Bobcats, now 13-11 overall, controlled the game behind a game-high 24 points from DJ Hall. The 6-foot-7 forward from Plano scored efficiently in just 23 minutes. Mark Drone added 12 points and eight assists for Texas State.

Ketron Shaw recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds for Old Dominion, which fell to 7-16. Jordan Battle scored 16 points for the Monarchs.

Texas State led comfortably throughout the second half, with the final margin surpassing its pregame projection as a slight favorite. The combined score fell under the betting total.
