Saints Dominate First Half, Cruise Past Jaspers in MAAC Contest

NEW YORK (Interstat) — Siena built a commanding 17-point halftime lead and never looked back, defeating Manhattan 74-59 in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Draddy Gymnasium.

The Saints, now 12-7, led 42-25 at halftime behind a strong start and stifled any sustained rally from the Jaspers, who fell to 8-12. Brendan Coyle led all scorers with 23 points for Siena, while Gavin Doty added 15. Justice Shoats contributed 16 points and five assists.

Manhattan, which shot poorly from the floor, was paced by Terrance Jones with 17 points and Quron Elliott with 15. The Jaspers narrowed the deficit in the second half but could not overcome their early struggles. Attendance was 1,063.
