ABILENE, Texas (Interstat) — Bradyn Hubbard recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds as Abilene Christian defeated Utah Valley 85-68 in a Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Moody Coliseum.

The Wildcats, improving to 9-6, never trailed after building a 41-36 halftime lead. They forced 21 turnovers, converting them into 28 points. Utah Valley (12-4) entered as an eight-point favorite but was outshot from the floor, 54% to 51.1%.

Hubbard added six assists for Abilene Christian. Joseph Venzant scored 15 points and Rich Smith dished seven assists. Tyler Hendricks led the Wolverines with 15 points.

A crowd of 958 saw the Wildcats outscore Utah Valley 44-32 in the second half to secure the victory.
