CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Interstat) — Henri Veesaar scored 26 points to lead North Carolina to a 77-58 men’s basketball victory over East Tennessee State on Tuesday night at Dean Smith Center.

The Tar Heels, improving to 10-1, never trailed after opening the game with a 3-pointer. They led 38-30 at halftime and steadily pulled away in the second half before a crowd of 16,548. Caleb Wilson added 20 points for North Carolina.

Blake Barkley scored 11 points for the Buccaneers, who fell to 8-4. Brian Taylor added 14 points in the loss. East Tennessee State kept pace early but could not overcome North Carolina’s consistent offensive production.
