Alcorn State vs. Indiana State

RUSTON, La. (Interstat) — The Indiana State Sycamores, riding a two-game winning streak, will look to continue their early-season momentum when they face the winless Alcorn State Braves in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Indiana State (4-2) is coming off a 70-52 victory over Ball State on Saturday. The Sycamores have found success with a balanced scoring attack, led in their last outing by Jo Van Buggenhout and Markus Harding, who each scored 15 points.

They will face an Alcorn State team (0-7) still searching for its first win. The Braves are navigating a difficult opening stretch, with all seven games played on the road against high-major opponents. Their most recent loss was a 72-53 defeat at Oklahoma on Sunday. Tycen McDaniels led the Braves with 12 points in that contest.

The Braves have struggled offensively, failing to score more than 81 points in any game this season and being held to 64 points or fewer in four of their seven contests. Their challenging schedule continues with a game at Louisiana Tech the following day.

For Indiana State, this game begins a brief neutral-site appearance in Ruston before returning home to prepare for a matchup against Eureka on Dec. 2.

Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 28, 2025.
