Northern Kentucky Outlasts Wofford Behind Oday’s 27 Points

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Interstat) — Donovan Oday scored 27 points to lead Northern Kentucky to a 93-83 win over Wofford in a men’s college basketball game Wednesday afternoon at BB&T Arena. The Norse improved to 5-2 while the Terriers fell to 4-3.

Northern Kentucky held a 45-43 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half, powered by a dominant 52-30 advantage in points in the paint. Dan Gherezgher added 21 points for the Norse, and LJ Wells chipped in 18 points and eight rebounds.

Wofford kept the game close through the first half but could not overcome Northern Kentucky’s interior scoring. The Terriers were led by a balanced scoring effort but failed to contain the Norse’s offensive attack in front of an announced crowd of 1,574.
