Louisiana-Monroe at East Tennessee State

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Interstat) — The East Tennessee State Buccaneers, riding a three-game winning streak, will host the struggling Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Sunday.

The Buccaneers (4-1) are coming off a 77-62 victory over Morehead State on Friday, powered by a strong offensive performance. Cam Morris led the way with 22 points, while Brian Taylor added 21. Their lone loss came on the road against Presbyterian.

Conversely, the Warhawks (1-4) look to snap a two-game skid after falling 79-66 to Lamar on Monday. MJ Russell scored 24 points in that loss, but Louisiana-Monroe has found consistent wins hard to come by. Their only victory this season was a 33-point rout of Rust College, with all four losses coming by double-digit margins.

The game will be played at the ETSU Athletic Center, where the Buccaneers are a perfect 3-0 this season. East Tennessee State’s defense has been a key factor, holding opponents to an average of 65.6 points during its current win streak.

Louisiana-Monroe will need a significant turnaround, both offensively and defensively, to challenge the hot-shooting Buccaneers on their home court. Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.
