FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Interstat) — Zane Nelson scored 22 points to lead Denver to an 83-81 victory over Colorado State in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Friday night at Moby Arena. The Pioneers built a 41-33 halftime lead and held off a furious second-half rally from the Rams, who outscored them 48-42 after the break. Kyle Jorgensen led all scorers with 29 points for Colorado State in the losing effort. Denver improved to 2-3 overall, while Colorado State fell to 4-1.
