Northeastern at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to get back to .500 will meet Thursday when the Northeastern Huskies visit the Princeton Tigers in a non-conference men’s basketball game at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Both teams enter the contest with 2-2 records. Northeastern is coming off an 85-74 home loss to Vermont on Saturday. Youri Fritz led the Huskies in that game with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Luca Soroa Schaller added 15 points and six assists.

The Huskies’ season has been a mix of close calls, including an overtime loss to Boston University and a narrow road win at Colgate.

Princeton also faced a tough opponent in its last outing, falling 76-57 on the road to Kansas. Dalen Davis scored 21 points for the Tigers in the loss. Princeton’s two wins have come at home against Bucknell and a blowout of John Jay, but they also suffered a lopsided 104-69 defeat at Akron.

The game will be a final tune-up for both teams before heading to multi-team events. Northeastern travels to face Duquesne in Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, while Princeton prepares to face Bradley in Kissimmee, Florida, on Monday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
