NACOGDOCHES, Texas (Interstat) — Stephen F. Austin used a dominant three-point shooting performance to defeat Abilene Christian 76-66 in a Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Friday at William R. Johnson Coliseum. The Lumberjacks improved to 4-0, while the Wildcats fell to 3-1.

Narit Chotikavanic led all scorers with 24 points for Stephen F. Austin, which connected on 13 of 23 shots from beyond the arc. Keon Thompson added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Lumberjacks, who pulled away in the second half after leading 35-33 at halftime.

Yaniel Rivera scored 19 points to pace Abilene Christian, which shot just 2 for 10 from three-point range. The Wildcats kept pace early but were ultimately undone by Stephen F. Austin’s efficient offense.
